Anna Silk
Anna Silk, born January 31st 1974 in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada is an actress best known for playing Bo on the Showcase series Lost Girl. Silk was born Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay who is producer and director of drama in St. Thomas University, is Silk's mother. The father of Silk, Peter is an academic. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna recalls her mom watching at work and attending the rehearsals for her plays. Silk starred in numerous commercials for children. In 1997, she graduated with a bachelor's degree at St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas staged at least 2 early plays: Seven Menus & The Kitchen. Silk was moved to Toronto Canada in the fall of 1999 to continue her acting. Then she moved into Los Angeles California during the following decade. Seth Cooperman was her future partner when she was introduced to him in an actor's workshop at the Actors' Workshop in Los Angeles. After getting engaged in 2008, they got married in 2009. The couple renewed their vows on April 10, 2011 in Fredericton in an Jewish wedding ceremony after Silk changed her religion to Judaism. Silk was blessed with a son who was named Samuel Jerome Cooperman on May 13, 2013. Levi Aaron, her second baby was born on 13 May in 2016. Silk's TV work includes the role of Cassidy Holland in Being Erica for which she received an Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. In 2009, she was cast in the principal character role of Bo Dennis a succubus in the Canadian television show Lost Girl. Silk became pregnant during production of the final season episode and broke the news to the fans during the Showcase pre-show Season Three special on January 6 2013. On June 4 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced the start of production on the fourth season and on the 20th of June 2013 Silk posted on Twitter that she was ready to return to work on the show. CNN's Cable News Network named her performance as Bo and Lauren (Zoie Parker) on Lost Girl as same-sex couples one of their all-time favorite TV Couples. E! named them as the most popular Television Couple for 2013. Entertainment Television. Because of the show's popularity, Silk has gained a large online following on social media.
